Choi Hyeji is known for portraying the vibrant colors of life within ordinary moments. She utilizes cement as the primary medium to capture the essence of life. She sees cement as a cold womb and uses it to depict today’s life, which may seem cold but is solid and resilient. These qualities showcase the vitality and enduring strength of our life. The artist collects and gathers moments of life through personal experiences and documentation, which then is transformed into visual masterpieces and written words.
